KRI Dewa RuciDewaruci of the keel was laid in 1952 by C. Stülcken & Sohn in Hamburg. The brigantine was ordered by the Indonesian Navy as a training ship duty. Full name is the ship KRI Dewaruci. KRI stands for "Kapal perang Republik Indonesia", the translation stands for "Naval ships of the Republic of Indonesia". Its name comes from the Indonesian. Dewaruci describes a legend of the God of the sea, that God stands for bravery and courage. On the bow of the Dewaruci is a figurehead of this God at all.
